Abstract
Despite the fact that primary school curriculums are taking an interest in modern methods of teaching reading and writing skills, there is still a category of student that does not benefit from the available educational opportunities because they suffer from learning disabilities. Those who suffer require special individual teaching methods, different from the ordinary. The current study aims to detect students who have difficulty in learning so as to specify the type of difficulties and detect indications of the presence of dyslexia, according to recent studies. The study also aims to diagnose weaknesses in learning the skills of reading and writing in Arabic and English, whilst specifying the signs of reading and writing deficits that indicate the presence of dyslexia.
