Abstract

Dyslexic children learning to read in the Czech language were assessed on tests of phonological and morphological awareness, reading and spelling. Performance was compared with that of age-matched and younger normally developing children. Results will be considered in relation to those from studies of English dyslexic children and from children learning to read and spell in other transparent languages.
